Specializing in the Educaring Approach
During her time “on the floor” caring for infants and toddlers, Patty learned of Magda Gerber’s breakthrough approach of respectful care, sensitive observation and recognizing every child’s natural abilities - the Educaring Approach. After studying with Magda and RIE Mentor Teacher, Ruth Money, Patty was inspired to share this approach with parents, caregivers and center-based administrators. Continued professional study at the Pikler Institute in Budapest, Hungary and Pacific Oaks College has deeply reinforced the empowering beauty of simply respecting infants as competent individuals from the day they are born.
